Dance Movement Therapie Groupwork Marian Chace Method

For Dance Movement Therapists, psychotherapists, physiotherapists

Duration
8 days 56 hours

Cost:
CHF 1200

This training is based on the approaches of the pioneer of dance therapy, Marian Chace (1896-1970), and the further development of the method based on experience and research to date. The method uses movement, non-verbal expression and the group’s dynamics to promote emotional, psychological and social processes. Marian Chace’s work is strongly influenced by psychodynamic principles, the connection between body and mind, and the importance of relationship and communication.

In addition, theoretical references from the work of Irvin D. Yalom, a psychiatrist and psychotherapist. These are in particular the existential approach, which focuses on the fundamental challenges of being human – Responsibility, Freedom, Mortality and the Meaning of Life – and interpersonal processes, self-reflection and group dynamics.
