In this course you will be introduced to the basics of the Laban Bartenieff Movement System (LBMS). This at the level of self-awareness. The LBMS addresses the anatomical chains of movement for the basic principles of human movement. The approach is from the perspective of philo- and ontogenetic movement development, which include attachment, cognitive and emotional development. In this course, these principles are used to explore one’s own preferences that arise from them, which crystallizes the connection to one’s own developmental history.

The Method is also used in dance pedagogy. Especially for the organic structure of the warm up as well as for the choreographic work, the expansion of the movement vocabulary and the support of the dance expression.
