Would you like to train your movement and awareness in order to move more freely and consciously? In this course, you will be fully introduced to the basics of the Laban Bartenieff Movement System (LBBS) through your own movement experiences. This system enables you to experience your body and your movement expression from a new perspective and to perceive it in a more differentiated way through self-reflection. The result is a deeper experience of yourself and the expansion of your movement repertoire.

LBBS is based on the inherent human development of movement and personality. It refers to early childhood development as the fundamental foundation for development throughout the entire lifespan. The system links the development of movement with the emergence and maturation of emotions and emotional expression. It takes into account the development of experiential and thought processes and finally sheds light on attachment behavior and the formation of attachment styles. This method makes it possible to understand people in their entirety – their being, expression and patterns of action.

In the course, participants have the opportunity to discover their personal movement preferences and to better understand their own movement and development history.

Regardless of whether you work in dance education or want to deepen your own dance practice – the LBBS offers you valuable tools. It specifically supports your dance training, expands your movement repertoire and strengthens your expression in dance as well as your choreographic work.
