ZOE SCHOOL is setting new standards for dance therapy training not only in Europe, but worldwide.

As a lecturer, I am grateful that students have the opportunity for guided self-study. It helps them to deepen what they have learned on a very personal level, and I enjoy making my expertise available to them in this context. –

It was as if it were tailored exactly to my needs. I wanted to focus on Laban for a longer period of time (a few months) during those years. Being able to further deepen my understanding of LBBS as a tool in artistic design afterwards was exactly what I needed. Being part of the group dynamics of the ongoing training course as a participant was a new experience for me. It was a completely new structure, which shows that open, fluctuating groups are also subject to their own unique processes. A very exciting field. I found the group to be very mature and pleasant, and I felt comfortable throughout the entire time.

For me, Zoeschool is the best place for people who want to learn dance and movement therapy. As an external participant, I was very well integrated into the process and always received all the materials. I found all the lecturers to be very competent and approachable, which made learning easier. We were always able to establish a good connection to practice.

The course delivers what it promises. The learning atmosphere is very good and the lecturer engages with each participant with sensitivity and energy. There is a good mix of theory and practice, individual and group work.
Topics such as early childhood movement development, dynamic alignment, support from the floor, and breathing show me ways to be in lively interaction with my inner and outer worlds.
The group processes triggered something healing and creative. I liked that there was room for exploration. Challenges involving strong emotions such as fear, anger, discontent, and sadness gave me a secure foundation during reflection rounds and discussions. I was glad that I could express myself and didn’t have to push myself away.

The courses at Zoe School are very well coordinated and offer multifaceted insights into dance and movement therapy. The instructors are dedicated and convey the content in a way that makes learning fun without losing depth. I attended the Laban Bartenieff Movement Theory course and the Body Image course.
A.P. (Psychologist)
It is a great honor for me to be involved in this dance therapy training program as a lecturer for the Laban-Bartenieff Movement System. Every time I enter the classroom, I am deeply inspired—not only by the dedication and openness of the students, but also by the well-thought-out structure and vision behind the program.
The students in this training program can feel truly privileged. They are guided by a team of experienced and passionate professionals who are all experts in their field. The curriculum is carefully designed to promote deep learning and integration, not only on a cognitive level, but also through embodied experience.
What strikes me in particular is the familiar and personal atmosphere in which learning takes place. The program creates a warm and attentive environment in which students can explore, feel, and understand from within and form deep connections. This embodied approach allows them to develop into the profession in a way that is grounded, relationship-oriented, and emotionally intelligent. I appreciate the ability (and permission) to be vulnerable and humble, even in the role of teacher or therapist, which I believe is not a weakness but a profound strength. We are all human beings first and foremost. A genuine connection is created when we meet as human beings, and this forms the true foundation of any (therapeutic) relationship.
As aspiring therapists, students develop essential skills—skills that go far beyond technique. They learn how to build authentic connections, reflect deeply, and create space with sensitivity and presence. It is precisely these qualities that make therapeutic work truly meaningful.
I am grateful to be able to contribute to a program that promotes such depth, integrity, and humanity.
