Therapy touches and resonates where cultural diversity is seen and spiritual realities are respected.

This course is aimed at therapists and interested parties who would like to deepen their cultural sensitivity and spiritual attitude as a central basis for professional relationship building. It provides a sound understanding of how body, culture, society, and health are inextricably intertwined—and how these connections shape therapeutic practice.

Based on philosophical and embodiment-based perspectives, social, cultural, and religious influences on health, suffering, and healing are reflected upon. Sociological and demographic approaches reveal how migration, age, gender roles, values, and norms shape the realities of clients’ lives.

There is a special focus on the sensitive examination of religion, spirituality, and rituals—as a possible resource as well as a challenge in the therapeutic relationship. Culture-specific syndromes, social influencing factors, and borderline topics such as sects are considered in a differentiated manner.

The course strengthens a mindful, reflective attitude that appreciates diversity, takes spiritual dimensions seriously, and deepens therapeutic work in a responsible manner.
