A therapeutic approach begins where ethical responsibility is consciously practiced.
This course is aimed at therapists who want to refresh or deepen their ethical approach in order to reflect on and shape their professional practice in a responsible manner. It provides a sound understanding of the connections between body, culture, society, and health, thereby creating a solid foundation for ethically sensitive practice and also highlighting the ethical guidelines of OdA ARTECURA.
Based on philosophical and embodiment-based perspectives, social and cultural factors influencing health and suffering are made visible. Sociological and demographic approaches show how power relations, values, norms, migration, religion, and spirituality come into play in the therapeutic field—both as resources and as challenges.
A particular focus of this module is the mindful reflection of one’s own attitude in dealing with diversity, vulnerability, and responsibility. The content is developed in a practical manner, discussed together, and continuously linked to art and dance therapy work. This creates ethical clarity that is sustainable—technically, personally, and professionally.
