This course offers an examination of body experience in the context of individual body image. Participants will not only gain insights into the precise definition of the term, but also into the history of the concepts of body image and body experience. The main focus is on the diagnostic and therapeutic application of body image work.
The structure of the course is characterized by the interweaving of theoretical concepts and practical applications. This methodological diversity enables participants to integrate the acquired knowledge not only on a cognitive but also on an experiential level. The lecturer shares her profound expertise and brings a special perspective as co-author of the book “Body Image and Personality”.
