Trauma leaves traces that cannot be resolved through thinking or talking alone. It lives in the body, shapes our nervous system, and influences how we experience ourselves and others. Many people suffer from the fact that these deeply ingrained patterns seem unchangeable—despite insight, knowledge, or conversation.

This course combines insights from somatic psychology, neuroscience, attachment theory, and dance and movement therapy into an integrative approach that understands the body as the key to healing.

In this course, you will learn:

  • to recognize how trauma expresses itself in the body and becomes visible through movement,
  • to use the body as a resource and a path to change in order to build self-regulation and resilience,
  • to experience healing in relationships through safe, finely tuned, and culturally sensitive therapeutic contexts,
  • to integrate transgenerational and sociocultural influences in order to re-understand and reshape one’s own embodied identity.

The solution to trauma does not lie in even more control or cognitive understanding, but in an embodied, trauma-informed process that reclaims the body as an ally. Healing thus becomes a path on which old patterns lose their power and new, vibrant possibilities emerge.
