Children’s personalities are shaped by what they experience through their bodies.
This is also shown by a recent study in the *Journal of Personality* (Tsomokos, 2025)
When combined with children’s natural joy of movement, it is logical to conclude that creative dance should be an integral part of everyday life in pre-school and school settings. Many countries have already incorporated it into their curricula as a result. In other countries, however, its use depends on the initiative of individual teachers and is sometimes included in physical education classes or used to liven up the daily learning routine.
ZOE SCHOOL provides primary school teachers with practical and theoretical instruction in creative dance fundamentals, equipping them with solid skills to integrate it into their lessons.
The benefits of creative dance include enhanced self-esteem and the development of social skills, such as a growing sense of belonging to a group. Children learn that their creativity is not only welcome, but an essential part of who they are — a means through which they can express themselves and learn simultaneously. Cognitive skills such as concentration and spatial awareness are also strengthened. Furthermore, creative dance helps to develop intuitive intelligence — that quiet, reliable intuition that accompanies children throughout their lives.
